The Baltic Deals of the Year for 2026 were announced on 23 April at the Baltic M&A and Private Equity Forum, held at Hanzas Perons in Riga. The awards highlight the past year’s most significant Baltic transactions, recognising deals notable for their strategic relevance, scale, complexity, and impact on the market.
A project supported by TEGOS has been recognised as the Baltic Private Equity Deal of the Year. The award was presented to Manulife’s acquisition of Tele2 AB telecom infrastructure assets – a landmark transaction that underscores the Baltic region’s growing importance for long-term infrastructure investment.
The deal stood out not only for its scale and complexity, but also for the broader signal it sends: the increasing role of institutional investors in Baltic infrastructure assets, particularly in sectors critical to regional connectivity and resilience.
The winning transactions were selected by an independent pan-Baltic jury, ensuring a rigorous, transparent, and region-wide assessment process. The jury evaluated deals based on a range of criteria, including their value and strategic importance for the Baltic region, the complexity and innovation involved, the financing structure, ESG considerations, and the involvement of regional professionals.
TEGOS is pleased to have contributed to a transaction recognised as one of the most significant private equity deals in the Baltics in 2026 – a project that reflects both the strength of the regional market and the level of expertise required to execute complex, cross-border infrastructure transactions.
Congratulations to our international team on this exceptional achievement, delivering seamless, comprehensive cross-border advisory across legal, regulatory, real estate, corporate, and tax matters on this award-winning transaction.
