This year, TEGOS (formerly TGS Baltic) received two prestigious awards: Deal of the Year Latvian and Deal of the Year Lithuania.
On 1 April, CEE Legal Matters announced winners in the annual Deal of the Year country nominations in an annual celebration of those lawyers and law firms that have brought the deals that shape Central and Eastern Europe into being.
This year, TEGOS received two prestigious awards:
The Latvian office advised joint global coordinators BNP Paribas, Citi, and J.P. Morgan, joint bookrunners Morgan Stanley and SEB, and co-managers LHV and Signet Bank on the issue by the Latvian national airline airBaltic of 340 million 5.25-year secured euro bonds to be listed on Euronext Dublin stock exchange. This is the largest corporate bond issue originating from Latvia and now CEELM has recognised it Deal of the Year in Latvia. Read more here and here.
TEGOS Lithuanian team assisted Šiaulių Bankas on the implementation of „SB Modernization Fund 2“ as securitisation vehicle. The „SB Modernization Fund 2“ was established as a securitisation vehicle and a subsidiary of Šiaulių Bankas to finance the renovation of multi-apartment buildings. UAB „SB Modernization Fund 2“ signed the financing agreements with the European Investment Bank (EIB), acting as Lithuanian national funds manager, Swedbank AB, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Šiaulių Bankas, and SB Asset Management, an asset management company. In Estonia, the award went to Mainor Ulemiste’s Acquisition of Majority Stake in Technopolis Ulemiste from Technopolis Baltic Holding.
The CEE Deals of the Year Awards have been granted since 2017 by CEE Legal Matters – the leading source of news and information about the lawyers and legal industry in Central and Eastern Europe – to celebrate the transactions, financings, IPOs, and other deals that underpin growth throughout the region, as well as the lawyers and law firms who make them happen.
