Port of Tallinn achieved success in disputes with MPG AgroProduction OÜ

In 2018, Port of Tallinn and MPG AgroProduction OÜ signed a cooperation agreement and a superficies agreement for the construction of an oil crop processing and logistics complex in Muuga Port.

On 28.11.2023, Port of Tallinn filed an application for the declaration of bankruptcy of MPG. Bankruptcy proceedings were initiated by Port of Tallinn because MPG had not fulfilled its contractual obligations for a long time. In addition, Port of Tallinn applied for the release of its property from superficies.

In early 2024, MPG initiated its own reorganization proceedings, which were completed in March 2024. The termination of the reorganization proceedings entered into force after MPG’s appeals were resolved. MPG was declared bankrupt on 15.10.2024. The bankruptcy order entered into force in autumn 2025 after MPG’s appeal was dismissed.

In December 2025, a notarial property agreement was concluded for the termination of the superficies. The Port of Tallinn was returned possession of the property and can start using the property.
