TEGOS client INVL Asset Management, has become the largest investor in the private bond issue financing the acquisition of the Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) old campus – a significant real estate asset in Vilnius.
Investors see considerable conversion potential in the Valakupiai area – a new concept for the complex is expected to be developed within the next 12 months, taking into account the urban context, the needs of the city of Vilnius, and the local community. It is estimated that 5–10 million euros could be invested in the renewal of the area over 70–100 years.
This transaction also stood out for its financing structure – a syndicated, multi-layered model combining private bonds and bridge financing was applied.
Legal support to INVL Asset Management, including the preparation of bond documentation, was provided by the TEGOS legal team – Sebastian Okinczyc, Žygimantas Stankevičius, and Samanta Sluoksnaitytė.
INVL Asset Management is the leading alternative asset manager in the Baltic States and a part of the Invalda INVL Group, which has been operating for over 30 years.
Mykolas Romeris University is a public university located in Vilnius and Kaunas. It was established in 1990 as the Lithuanian Police Academy and became Mykolas Romeris University in 2004.
