TEGOS advised IFCO SYSTEMS, the world’s leading provider of reusable packaging containers (RPCs) for fresh food products in acquiring 100% of shares in BEPCO OÜ, a well-established reusable packaging pooling company based in Tallinn, Estonia, from the previous owners, who are private companies. This acquisition of BEPCO Group enables IFCO Group to expand its market presence and diversify its regional product portfolio. This is already the second investment by IFCO SYSTEMS in the Baltic region within 2 years. BEPCO Group operates in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Bulgaria.
This transaction would strengthen the tendencies of transactions in ESG-sensitive industry sectors in the pan-Baltic market. Our wide pan-Baltic team, in cooperation with the Djingov, Gouginski, Kyutchukov & Velichkov law firm in Bulgaria, assisted the client on all the transaction-related matters, tax matters, legal and tax due diligence, and negotiations.
