TEGOS successfully represented UAB Vilniaus vystymo kompanija in litigation concerning the unilateral termination of public works contracts and a claim for damages.
In 2024, the contractor that had won the public procurement initiated proceedings, alleging unlawful termination of the contracts and seeking compensation.
On 20 May 2025, the Vilnius District Court dismissed the claim in full, recognising the termination as lawful. Following the plaintiff’s appeal, on 4 September 2025, the Lithuanian Court of Appeal upheld the decision, confirming that the termination was lawful, proportionate, and justified, and rejecting the claim for damages.
This case highlights the TEGOS team’s strong track record in contract law and civil liability disputes, as well as its ability to secure favourable outcomes for clients at all levels of the courts.
Associate Partner Dovilė Armalytė and Junior Associate Kristupas Bertašius worked on this matter.
