Latvenergo AS is actively progressing with the construction and development of its largest wind farm in Lithuania with total capacity of 124 MW now supplemented also with battery energy storage system. The site is being equipped with Vestas wind turbines expected to be fully energised in the first quarter of 2026 generating electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 125,000 households. The capacity of the storages systems is expected to be at 28.51 MW and 57.02 MWh.
TEGOS contribution and expert team
After assisting Latvenergo when acquiring shares in Telšiai wind park in the beginning of 2024, TEGOS expert team now prepared and negotiated the development service agreement for the storage project. The transaction also addressed matters related to qualification for ancillary services and securing state support.
The legal advisory project was led by Agnese Hartpenga, partner and head of the Energy practice group, with valuable contributions from partner Dainius Stasiulis and associate Laura Balode.
