On 26 November, an agreement was officially signed between Polish packaging manufacturer Sefko and Estiko-Plastar for the acquisition of the Sefko plant.
TEGOS (formerly TGS Baltic) team advised Estiko-Plastar on a deal to acquire Sefko, an innovative Polish packaging manufacturer. Both Estiko-Plastar and Sefko are well known players in the packaging market, offering a wide range of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for food and non-food industries worldwide.
“Sefko’s current product portfolio perfectly complements Estiko’s current production capacity and our ability to meet the diverse needs of our customers. With 25 years of experience in manufacturing various pouches and doy-bags, Sefko has a wealth of experience, so we see great potential in combining our expertise to continue our successful journey together,” said Meelis Jürgens, CEO of Estiko-Plastar.
“This is a great opportunity to expand our international portfolio of packaging solutions. We are delighted to welcome Sefko and the company’s customers and employees to the Estiko Group,” added Neinar Seli, Chairman of the Board of the Estiko Group.
Sławomir Buszta and Sylwester Buszta, the owners of Sefko, agree that the merger with Estiko is the right step to ensure the success of the company, its employees and customers. “Given the well-established position of Estiko and Sefko in providing customer-focused packaging solutions, we are confident that this synergy will help us to reach new heights in the packaging industry and increase the value we offer to our customers,” said the current owners.
Upon completion of the transaction, Estiko-Plastar’s parent company Estiko Group will acquire 100% of Sefko’s shares. The parties will not disclose the transaction value. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
The transaction was advised by Nordic CF Advisory and law firms Gessel in Poland and TEGOS in Estonia on the Estiko-Plastar side and Dealbridge M&A Advisors and Rödl & Partner on the Sefko side.
TEGOS team included partners Leonid Tolstov and Kadri Kallas.
