EDRK is the absolute market leader in digitalizing books in Estonia. TEGOS (formerly TGS Baltic) advised the client during the negotiating the transaction documents and closing the transaction.
In addition, the parties negotiated SHA to regulate the future activities of EDRK. The deal is significant as this was the third acquisition of BaltCap in the field of publishing and sale of books market in its attempt to consolidate the respective markets in the Baltics. BaltCap has previously acquired a major Lithuanian publisher Alma Litera and the market leader of books retailer Rahva Raamat.
