TEGOS represented the Port of Tallinn and TS Laevad OÜ as injured parties in a high-profile criminal case concerning the acceptance of bribes by former members of the Port of Tallinn’s management board.
In February 2026, the criminal proceedings were terminated after the courts ruled that the offences were time-barred. As a result, the courts could no longer examine the victims’ civil claims within the criminal proceedings.
To protect the clients’ rights, TEGOS promptly filed three separate civil actions against the defendants, seeking a total of €4.7 million in compensation for the losses caused by the offences. The litigation spans fourteen defendants across three cases and involves extensive evidentiary material, reflecting the scale and complexity of the proceedings. Through these civil actions, TEGOS continues to pursue compensation on behalf of the Port of Tallinn and TS Laevad OÜ despite the termination of the criminal case.
