The Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia, in cooperation with the French Embassy in Latvia, the French Institute, and the French professional and academic association “Droit & Commerce”, invites you to participate in an international conference dedicated to current issues in commercial law from the perspectives of the Latvian and French legal systems.
The conference will address the following topics:
- Corporate governance – the duty of loyalty and liability of company directors;
- Arbitration – current issues in choice of forum and practical application.
The conference will bring together legal experts from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, the association “Droit & Commerce”, academic staff of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia, and practising attorneys.
The session dedicated to arbitration will be chaired by Jérôme Carles, Chairman of Droit & Commerce, with the participation of Jean‑François Tessler, attorney at the Paris Bar, and Ivars Grunte, Managing Partner of the TEGOS Latvia office.
