The waste management company “CleanR” has concluded a transaction for the acquisition of SIA “Ķilupe”, becoming its sole owner.
At the beginning of the year, the Competition Council allowed the buyer to acquire the remaining 58.75 % of the shares of SIA “Ķilupe”, thus becoming the sole owner of the company.
SIA “Ķilupe” will continue its work as a subsidiary of “CleanR”, maintaining the local management and customer service model. The acquisition will allow to strengthen the quality of services, introduce innovations, expand the range of services and develop customer service in Ogre and Aizkraukle districts.
The role and team of TEGOS
Throughout the transaction, TEGOS represented Liene Saulīte-Nestere, the seller of shares of SIA “Ķilupe”, and the company’s management team in developing the transaction structure and documents for the sale of shares, as well as in the negotiation and signing process. Partner Andra Rubene and senior associate Dita Buša worked on this project.

About “Ķilupe”
“Ķilupe” has been operating since 1998 and provides management of municipal, bulky, construction and hazardous (asbestos-containing) waste, as well as collection and resorting of sorted waste. “Ķilupe” mainly operates in Ogre and Aizkraukle districts, as well as provides services to a lesser extent in other cities and districts in the waste management regions of Central Latvia and Latgale. The company owns a modern waste sorting plant in Ogre district.
