TEGOS advised UAB Vilniaus vystymo kompanija, an infrastructure developer and municipality property holder fully owned by Vilnius (capital city of Lithuania) City Municipality, in a public social infrastructure project for design and construction of the National Concert Hall. The multifunctional arts center is being built according to the design of the Spanish architectural studio Arquivio architects, which won an international architectural competition.
The palace is designed to be suitable for concerts of the highest level of classical music, and Lithuanian orchestras will have halls with excellent acoustics for both rehearsals and concerts. The National Concert Hall is planned to be equipped with a large hall with up to 1.7 thousand seats, a small hall with 500 seats and two additional halls, spaces for bars, a bookstore, a lobby with a view of the city panorama and premises for other various cultural activities. The large concert hall will be adapted for classical (symphonic and chamber) music concerts and music events of other genres. The building shall be of 23,000 sq. m, 4 halls (main, small, people’s house, rehearsals) and other premises, energy efficiency class A++. Estimated time of completion 2029 Q1.
TEGOS was involved in preparation of the contractor’s agreement for design & construction and continues to advise the client throughout implementation – from procurement documents and supplier claims to proper execution solutions.
This is an exceptionally complex asset, combining stage machinery, acoustic solutions, and lighting/AV systems, which required bespoke contractual interfaces and a tailored technical requirements logic to preserve flexibility while adhering to strict public procurement rules. The project is one of the largest social infrastructure schemes in Lithuania, with significant market impact and international recognition as a MIPIM 2025 finalist in the “Best New Development” category.
